there is no project to difficult when you align my bud and his pro-team. In this case a pro alum welder. The tray actually slides forward as well as aft as shown. I'm thinking Mrs Shamrock will appreciate its proximity to the cuddy cabin. The helm limits forward travel and aft travel is pinned from landing on your feet.

Absolutely, my 20 doesn't have the raised section, maybe the early diesel models didn't need it?

Thanks for posting those Tony. With the engine box on the 20s and 26s raised in the middle, I'm thinking 2 smaller boxes would work. Great idea.

It's been a couple of years since a new friend saw me "Rockin Around" the Bay in the A-1. Long story short he found a 22ft W/A on the SE US coast for sale, flew down to meet owner, test run, and trailered it home to Vancouver Is. Turns out he lives about a half mile from me so I was able to point him in the right direction occasionally. This boat had no name that we are aware of. Came with tuna poles, hardtop and a shark tower(?) on top of that. After repairing some cosmetic damage to the alum. superstructure, new gas tanks, and making new curved front windows, plus a long list of refinements of his own, the boat was launched last summer for its first season fishing. We weren't sure how much too fast the 350 cu/in would troll for salmon, however thus far have had good success. I will try and send some pics of this saga on to you. Those who remember my unique style of internet communication, feel free to impart suggestions on improving the photos.
This boat is kept summer season in a yacht club open row shed. To keep fish tackle, camping gear etc out of sight/out of mind, he fabricated an alum. tray which meant raising the folding seat about 4 inches higher. Prior to installation tray was powdercoated white to reduce corrosion. It is lined with a white anti-skid material to keep contents from moving as much, baffles can be added later if needed. The entire 2" alum pole structure for the hard top was also powder coated, grey, for the same reason. Most of the salmon tackle except for the down riggers can be removed to the tray from the cuddy cabin.
