    I am always it seems, in my engine compartment. Yesterday I noticed a little black soot on the stringer. Belt was wearing, ever so slightly, into the FW hose from circulating pump to thermostat housing. If I hadn't looked I may have ended up with a PITA. So my advice is to take a moment before, and maybe after, each outing to just open the hatch.

      Very good practice. I keep light bulbs in the bilge for moisture control so I lift before and after runs.

      BTW, bought a bunch of the old style light bulbs for the heat they put off before they were completely gone...

        I thought they would all be gone too but I saw them in Lowes and Walmart the other day.
