    Microwave Installation

    Hi All,

    With the very limited space, I installed the microwave in the V-Berth (I adopted this idea from Rusty Rod):

    The house batteries (220 amp-hours combined) are verily enough to power the inverter (it dips down to 11.5 volts). Therefore, I combine the house batteries with the start battery (for a total of 325 amp-hours) with the motor running to run the microwave. When I plug into shore power, it bypasses the inverter and brings direct power to the microwave.

      A handy addition and looks like a great installation location. I cant see that really being in the way of anything there.

        Thanks for that post Damon. Good info for people thinking of this. When I had the 31 a microwave was definitely going in.
