I thought that I'd start a thread where everyone can go to just shoot the breeze, say hi, or have a imaginary beverage with each other. We have a similar thread on a Hunting Forum that I frequent and it goes over pretty good. All subjects are welcome, just remember to keep it civil with fellow members and enjoy.

I guess I'll start off.... I changed the batteries in my boat yesterday. I also straightened out the birds nest of wires that were in the battery area. Been wanting to do that since I purchased the boat. It's amazing the weather change. Yesterday it was 70 degrees and this morning when my wife and I left for church it was 34 degrees. We had a real good thunderstorm go thru yesterday around 4;00pm and it chased all the warm weather out.Clyde, Pasadena, Maryland

Jerry, I don't think it needs it's own forum. I placed it in the General Conversation forum. With it as a thread of it's own members don't have to start a new thread just to BS.... The thread on the hunting forum that I frequent has literally thousands of posts in it. There are some members that post there almost constantly as it is a place where you aren't hijacking someone elses thread. Almost everything under the sun is posted there but if you have a specific item to address you use the other forums in their appropriate sections.
Also, I knew you had your "ONE RULE".........I was just re-voicing what you already had.Last edited by cw.abeljr; 02-26-2017, 01:35 PM.Clyde, Pasadena, Maryland

We have been elbow deep into the 26 H/T with Radioman posting most of his questions as they come up. I have been taking pictures of progress with plan on starting a general renovation thread as I get a bit farther into it.
Tanks are both out, new ones are here but won't be installed until I get their boxes painted...Weather Thursday and Friday helped give us a head start on some things.
I spent well over an hour BS'ing with Richard at Action Manufacturing for the tanks, great fellow and awesome source of information!Karen

Yeah...the rehab...WOW...
The more I dig into stuff, the more I shake my head and say to myself "why did they do this?"...
Things I've found that I can't believe were done in a boat, much less a boat that's lived its life in salt water:
Wirenuts...
Speaker wire going to nav lights...
Telephone company style crimp connectors on bilge pump switch wire...
3/4" hose pushed over the collar of a 1/2" barb then hose clamped...
Mono fishing line used in place of zip cable ties to tie up harnesses..
Iron pipe nipples threaded into seacocks...
Windlass power wire and transducer wire laid into the groove between deck panels and filled in with RTV silicone to keep it in place (from the dash to the engine well)...
I'm done venting now - LOL!1986 26' HT w/5.7 PCM 330HP RWC

Jerry, you can do with it what you want. The hunting club forum just left it as a working thread but if you want to make it a sticky that is fine. I was over on that forum a while ago and took notice of the amount of posts......well over 13,000 on our lounge thread . It's a good place to VENT as Radioman did, say hi or whatever..... When we get a bunch of members online at the same time over the hunting forum we can actually get a running conversation going on....I'm ready for beer, I'm buying, anyone care to join me????Clyde, Pasadena, Maryland

Got up at 4 o'clock in the morning yesterday and drove the Goochland with my oldest son. Cooked breakfast outside for a couple dozen people. Fresh sausage, bacon, shad roe, eggs and hoecakes as the sun was rising. Then we began to reassemble a antique sawmill. I brought home the nineteen-forties CASE power unit to the house. Got the engine broke free and I plan to get it running in the next few weeks so I can take it back to Goochland to power that sawmill. Now I'm home drinking a beer watching Death Rides a Horse.1980 pilot house 351
