.Sooooo, mr. new canal neighbor has decided to "make more water" in the canal. He has completely filled in my ditch and leveled the canal so that no one can get out. He did this with his 15' Whaler. When I, and others told him just go straight in the same track, he said he needed to open up the mouth of the canal and make the canal wider so more water would flow in. Like he did with the farm ponds. More water will make it deeper so we can get our boats out. I kid you not. After giving up trying to explain tides to him, I said "have fun and by the way, your engine is not pumping water". Reply, yeah its an old engine as he continued his project. He paddled in 5 minutes later and has not been able to start the mud blowing machine since
