ID:	37522 Found this 17# stainless plow hooked in an artificial reef about 8 years ago and was saving it until the time was right. It was a little bent from the previous owner trying to get it out of the barge it was hooked in. I heated it and straightened it. I had to polish it where I heated it so while I was filthy and the buffer was out I polished that also.

ID:	37517 My bow rail was in good condition no big scratches or gouges but it was pretty weathered and in need of a good polishing. I spent an entire Saturday with the buffer and some rouge and it cleaned up really good for a 31 year old rail Click image for larger version

ID:	37514 My port light in the head compartment/mechanical room was in terrible condition. I found a new high quality aluminum framed glass port light on eBay. It was brand new and I believe it was made by lewmar. I won it for $27 shipped ! Only problem was that the frame was silver so I disassembled it and had the frame coated black. It was considerably larger than the plastic one that was in there but it worked out great.

ID:	37509 I had the dive ladder, handles and struts temporarily mounted and it just looked a bit off. My original plan when it came to the metal work on the boat was the stainless would be cleaned up and polished and the aluminum would be powdercoated black but I was on the fence about powdercoating the ladder and parts. After we looked at it for a week we decided it had to go black so it would match the other aluminum. It’s black and permanently installed now

Now that is a nice dive ladder! Very impressive!

Also, thanks for the response on the inserts. (Yours are in better shape than mine.)

ID:	37268 We wanted a good dove ladder setup on this boat, I was going to build it myself but we have a friend who is a marine aluminum fabricator and I did him a favor last year on his boat so he did me a favor this year on mine. Click image for larger version

    Two swim/dive platform questions:
    1. Did you ever find source for the inserts? If so would appreciate contact info, etc. (I have the same platform and need to replace inserts as they are weathered and joints are separating.)
    2. What kind of sealant/adhesive will you you use to remount your platform? Mine was added in 1991 at the dealership with an unknown-to-me rubber adhesive with plenty of stretch/elasticity, yet still a good adhesive that held the platform to the hull while enabling relatively easy platform removal.
Unfortunately I have not found a source for the inserts. It’s probably going to come down to having someone local build them at some point, for now I will sand and oil them. I used 3M 4000UV Black to glue it back on.
