I stripped a 7/16 coupler bolt while installing the shaft, you know, when the nut spins on the bolt and the next step is the drill followed by a cutoff wheel because the transmission flange is so close to the case that the headless bolt won't come out. After seeing your pictures I feel silly for being upset about it.

Looks great! What size are the drain holes in those hooters, I can't see them? Mine are about 1"

On the trailer. Made a new platform and salvaged some hooters. Need to take trim tabs off a boat in yard, mount them and then the platform. My body, like my boats, is worn out.

Unfortunately I have to agree, not sure why, but it is loud!

Yours is a lot louder than my 20. Both had the same engine.

That is a great idea. My Mack has Hooters and I don't think it is that loud, it might be for the boats off my transom...

I am thinking about welding a flange on these so they can be screwed to the Hooter outlet and then adding flaps.

I'd say go for it....unless you think it could be louder than it was before?
