Just seeing this... Miss Ted's knowledge and just all-round presence. Makes me thankful for each and every one of you. Found another picture of the same weekend. Here is to Ted, Gail, and all my other "imaginary friends".

I met Ted near my house one day as his kids lived near me. He lived in my old hometown 300 miles away where I was born. Very close to where my mother grew up. And of course there where the get togethers. Talk about imaginary friends…….wishing Gail and everyone the best'78 20ft Cuddy

Ted was still here on the east coast and Gail had gone to Seattle to prepare for the transfer. They had been living in a assisted living facility and when Gail called he didn't answer. Then she called the desk and had someone check on him. He was ok at about 12:05am but had passed when they checked in the later am. Gail was notified later in the am on the west coast. I guess Ted just didn't want to be a burden on his daughter. I know I won't. RIP my friend. The move was only hours away.Atlantic City, NJ

He had a flight scheduled with Angel or Mercy flights. Something like that. Gail said he had been very uncomfortable lately, in pain. She thinks he just waited till she was safely with family. To know him was to love him.1988 26' cuddy

Gail sent this for me to post.
THEODORE HEIMBERGER OBITUARY
Theodore F. “Ted” Heimberger, of Havertown, PA, passed away on June 26, 2022. He was the husband of Gail (Lopacki) Heimberger. Ted was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 19, 1944, son of late John Frederick Heironymous and Marie (Dugonis) Heimberger. Ted grew up in East Lansdowne, PA, attended Lansdowne Aldan High School and went on to pursue a physics degree from Drexel University. From there he worked as an engineer and former vice president of Max Levy Autograph in Philadelphia for 30+ years. Additionally, he was a professional singer at both All Saints Episcopal Church in Wynnewood, PA and Church of the Redeemer in Bryn Mawr, PA. His other life passions included: flying (small private aircraft license); boating and fishing (active member and moderator of Fish the Classics). Ted was gifted with innate ability to fix anything under the sun and always had his tools at the ready, willing and able to lend a hand to those in need. Besides his wife, he leaves his daughter Erica (Heimberger) Nicholson of Lake Stevens, WA and her husband Matthew, and 2 grandchildren Heather and Ryan Nicholson. A memorial service will be planned sometime in the fall of 2022. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Nature Conservancy online at https://www.nature.org/en-us/ (under Memorial and Special Gifts) or call (800) 628-6860.

Thank you for posting Jerry, he was a special kind of guy who I am sorry we didn't get to meet first hand, in a big way his legacy of loving these boats and helping others work on them will continue in each of us in the shamrock family.Last edited by Fisherlady2; 07-15-2022, 01:56 AM.Karen

So sorry to hear of this. I only spoke to Ted once or twice, but he was really helpful when I was making a great big sawhorse to hold up the bow of my 22' for transferring to/from the trailer to the hard for bottom coating and painting. Really nice fellow, and super knowledgeable and helpful. My condolences to Gail and Ted's family.

So sorry to hear about Ted. It was always a supreme pleasure to be rescued time after time by Ted, calm collected and diplomatic. Never met him in person but I get to say "thanks Ted" every time I walk past his boat jacker in my shop, the plans for which he emailed to me. Men like Ted are a rare breed, they make you reflect on what the world would be like with out them. We lost a good man.
RIP my friend.Enjoy,
Tony

Talked to Gail yesterday. She is settling into her new way of life but misses Ted terribly. Understandable since they were married 55 years. The usual medical issues associated with getting older. She asked about the Good Guys. She remembers many and always asks how they are doing. We need a get together to have a celebratory drink in honor of Ted and George.1988 26' cuddy
