  • Need Outboard.

I'm tired of battling the old stuff I have. All my contacts are gone. Want a new 20 - 25 HP electric start. Don't care what make. There was what my friend called "outboard superstore" where he got all his engines. Can't find it online. Help from my more computer savvy friends on here. Best place to buy a new small outboard.

A few guys on the Ohio Game Fish website got motors here and were happy with them...

One of my customers was just quoted a really good price on a pair of F250xa’s from boats.net I wasn’t aware they sold engines but it would be worth a look. He would have saved 10k on the pair but was already committed with someone that had them in stock in town

Ordered a new Merc 20 ELH. This is exactly what I wanted for my 14.

I know how you feel about battling old outboards. Had a couple Hondas on our 18' G3 and between water in the carbs and the mud daubers building nests in the flywheel causing the timing belt to jump I was discouraged and was never used the boat. We picked up a new Suzuki 50 and it is like having a new boat. I like using it again. We contemplated fixing up the old outboards and selling them but just recently we let go of the pair for a song, just was not worth the time. Good luck with the new Merc, should make life easier on that boat.

I have 3, 15 hp Evinrude's that are free to any one here. One is on the 14 now and I just paid $250 for it to be "gone through". It works but wont idle in neutral. One has no compression in one cylinder, and one is for parts. Just tired of the battle and don't have that many years left. Can't see myself paddling home .
