Complete from crank mounted pump to the VD flange. Shaft flange is there also. Top mounted starter and exhaust manifolds and risers. Front engine mounts included. That would be a 1:51 VD. Had 40 hours on it when it was removed and a new intake manifold and all new rings and bearings were installed. 0 hrs since. $3000 without gear, $4000 with. Have some SS exhaust manifolds for an extra $400.

Is the motor a running take out or rebuilt?
We just picked up a 26’ open. We have the console to rewire and tanks out for replacement. Yhe boat has a rebuild with 30 or so hours but It would be the perfect time to go with the 383.

It was a total rebuild. I put it in my 26 and at 40 hours the crossover under the aluminum intake manifold fell off. Thought I blew the engine and took it out and brought it to the engine shop. Put a new manifold on and the builder, for whatever reason, took it apart and put it back together. Never put it back in a boat. He put in new bearings and rings. Has Harlan Sharp roller rockers and a little cam.1988 26' cuddy

Just curious Jerry, how much more power did the 383 give you over the standard 351??? and is your 383 a Ford or Chevy, I'm betting a Ford.Clyde, Pasadena, Maryland

Getting on plane was great. You could feel the torque. Top end was 4 MPH faster and 3000 RPM was 3 MPH faster and 1 GPH more. Best engine I ever had in a 26. [ I have had a few].1988 26' cuddy

Longer push, longer burn, more power. Ain't no replacement for displacement. The strokers in marine applications are built for the torque. HP doesn't mean much for us. My 351 in the 26 now is perfect. Put the stroker in and the difference is obvious immediately. It just doesn't have to work as hard to give the same power output.1988 26' cuddy
